I am so excited to share these photos from the 2017 model shoot we held over the weekend and tell everyone about the upcoming Senior Week at Sara Haines Photography!
CANNOT say enough good things about these juniors (almost seniors) AND the incredible support staff that we had. This kind of shoot is so fun for me because it was my first ever concept shoot, and I get to express a little creative freedom and shoot something different than a normal shoot. After thinking about many different options, I decided to go with the boho chic/bohemian style theme. I also knew that I wanted to include vintage vehicles and was thrilled when Mark and Heidi volunteered to let us use both of their classics!
So…the forecast included rain all week and I was starting to worry. Not only did the weather clear up, the sun even came out! I was so happy that everything worked out! We had the perfect location, the perfect time of day, the perfect set-up...PERFECT! Except for the tick infested field that I placed everyone right into (so sorry everyone!) and I'm hoping that all are ok!
So the day of the shoot, we met up with Sadie Plyler, with MaryKay Cosmetics and Jayne, Kayla, and Nichole from Scissors and Rayz Salon. Sadie did a wonderful job with each of the girl’s make up. She takes each girl’s skin tone, texture, and the outfits into her thought process of what to do with each girl and how to finish out the look. She will be home from college this summer and is looking to expand her business in the area so make sure to give her a call!
Jayne, Kayla, and Nichole- you guys were GREAT! I basically called Jayne and told her I needed hairstyles to fit the bohemian look and they totally ran with it. They were spot on and so easy to work with!! Scissors and Rayz is a super fun place to have your hair done, or just hang out! I highly recommend working with them!
Getting Ready at Scissors and Rayz
I can't say enough about these ladies! AMAZING job and Thank you!!!!
The day would not be complete without my mentor and friend, Rhonda Wilson of Rhonda Wilson Photography! Rhonda has spent numerous hours training me and sharing her years of experience and knowledge in the profession. I would not be where I am without her and am so thankful for her willingness to join us for the model shoot. I'm going to have to figure out a way to get a picture of us together!
It’s a long post but here you go…
The tick infested weeds! This is about the point that Olivia found three and we quickly realized they were ALL over the place!
